Funding Process

The John Rex Endowment invests in the development and support of activities, programs and organizations that improve the health and well-being of underserved children and youth in Wake County.

The John Rex Endowment offers nonprofit capacity building funding via our Capacity Building Initiative and project funding in three funding areas: Access to Health Care; Physical Health (includes our Healthy Weight Initiative); and Mental Health, Social and Emotional Well-being.

Funding is made available through a Request for Proposal (RFP) process. The John Rex Endowment does not accept unsolicited grant applications. Details about current funding opportunities can be found by clicking on the links at the left of this page: Capacity Building RFP for our Capacity Building Initiative which is offered in every grant cycle and the Project Funding RFP for the current funding area of focus.
