Pablo Escobar, director of the Open Door Clinic of Urban Ministries of Wake County, has joined the board of directors for the John Rex Endowment. Escobar will be a member of the nominating committee.

Prior to serving in his position at Urban Ministries, Escobar was the interim executive director of El Pueblo and budget analyst for Wake County Government. His experience also includes 10 years as a financial officer for Kaiser Permanente. 

“Pablo’s leadership and experience with local nonprofits and government complement the diverse perspectives represented on our board,” said Kevin Cain, president and CEO of the John Rex Endowment. “We appreciate his commitment to serve on the board as we continue to support our community to help children reach their full potential.”
