The John Rex Endowment announces four grants, totaling $812,280, to support efforts to create a more comprehensive and better integrated mental health system for Wake County children and youth.
The John Rex Endowment is pleased to announce the selection of new members and officers of its board of directors. New board members include Mr. Steven Lilly, chief financial officer at Triangle Capital Corporation, and Jill Wright, M.D., of Wake Health Services New Bern Ridge Pediatrics.
The American Hospital Association (AHA) awarded the NOVA Award to WakeMed Health & Hospitals' ENERGIZE!, a pediatric nutrition and fitness education program designed to help curb the emerging diabetes epidemic. The John Rex Endowment has supported ENERGIZE! and other components of the WakeMed Children's Diabetes & Endocrinology Program with over $1.7 million in grant funds

The John Rex Endowment invites nominations for the fifth annual Hands of Health award which recognizes individuals who demonstrate innovation in efforts to improve the health of children and youth in Wake County. The deadline for entries is September 5.
