Children's Mental Health Services
What:
Support for outpatient mental health services for uninsured children.

Purpose:
Offer mental health services and access to medications to low-income uninsured children in Wake County.
How:
- Subsidize agency sliding fee scale so that it is affordable to families and does not deter seeking care.
- Contract with child psychiatrist for referrals from mental health staff and medication management.
- Collaborate with existing Wake County Medical Association program for pharmacy services.
Outcome:
- 75 uninsured children will receive mental health and psychiatric services from Triangle Family Services.
- Eligible uninsured children will be qualified for public health insurance and receive available county assistance.
- Uninsured children will be able to comply with prescriptions for medication.
- 70% of children receiving services will show significant improvement in overall functioning.
- 90% of families completing recommended sessions will report improvement in functioning and well-being.
Cost/Term: $107,532 annually for a two-year period.
