Project Access for Children - Phase II What: Access to medical services for uninsured children. From: Wake County Medical Society Contact: Paul Harrison, Executive Director Purpose: Secure donated physician care, hospital services and medication assistance for uninsured children with medical needs from families with income below 185% of federal poverty level. How: Maintain a network of participating sites and volunteer physicians. Screen and enroll qualified children at primary care sites. Provide case management and referral for qualified children. Outcome: Approximately 300 to 350 children will receive medical assistance. Drug assistance will be provided to approximately 30 children. Qualified children will receive $300,000 in donated care from physicians and hospitals. Cost/Term: $50,000 $25,000 for both of two years ($10,500 for staff; $3,700 for office; $10,800 for outpatient pharmaceuticals) January 2006-December 2007
