From: Wake Teen Medical Services
Purpose: Determine best practice standards throughout its organization to ensure that youth can be healthy and successful, youth are engaged in activities that contribute to life skills and reinforce community-mindedness, youth grow comfortable as citizens in a participatory democracy, and adults within Wake Teen view youth positively.
How:
1. Conduct a strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats analysis regarding PYD in human resource and staff development, governance, programs and services, and internal/external communications.
2. Involve stakeholders, internal and external, in the assessment.
3. Create recommendations in partnership with Board and Executive team.
Outcome:
1. Written summary of findings on actionable recommendations for Wake Teen to strengthen organizational pathways for PYD in support of its mission.
2. Implementation of no- and low-cost recommendations.
3. Identification of funding sources should any recommendation have a significant associated cost.
Cost/Term: $21,780 over six months.
