Patient Services Coordinator

Purpose:
Strengthen the infrastructure of Wake Teen and improve financials.
How:
- Hire full time Patient Services Coordinator.
- Upgrade billing software.
Outcome:
- Improve compliance and continuity of care of self-pay patients.
- Assist minimum of 25 teens to apply for Medicaid or NC Health Choice.
- Decrease average number of days to collect insurance from 75 to 45.
- 80% of outstanding patient accounts no more than 59 days.
- Decrease of bad debt and insurance write off by 10% each year of funding.
Cost/Term:
$76,260 over three years. August 2004-July 2007
