Kevin Cain President & CEO
Kevin became the first President and CEO of the John Rex Endowment in 2001. Since then he has had the good fortune to work with and learn from a great variety of people applying their wisdom and their passion to the benefit of others.
As Vice President for Planning and Marketing with Rex Healthcare, Kevin played an active role in the transaction with the UNC Health Care System that created the John Rex Endowment. Prior to moving to North Carolina he had been the Director of Marketing at Carle Clinic Association in Champaign-Urbana, Illinois. His experience in planning and market research offered a useful perspective when he started his work at the John Rex Endowment. His willingness to try new approaches to improving situations that interfere with the well-being of children has been beneficial.
He currently serves on the board of NC Child and the North Carolina Network of Grantmakers.
Kevin has three grown sons who are a credit to their gender, a grandson who defies description, and a yoga practice he would be happy to tell you about.
