New Board of Directors Officers and Members Announced

The John Rex Endowment is pleased to announce new officers and members of the board of directors. Sherry Worth is the new board chair. Worth has served on the board since 2004. Jill Wright, MD, Wake Health Services New Bern Ridge Pediatrics, is the new vice chair. Janet Cowell, State Treasurer of North Carolina, and Jill Wells Heath, president and CEO of Mulkey Engineers & Consultants, have been appointed to serve as new board members. 

“We are fortunate to gain the perspectives and leadership of State Treasurer Janet Cowell and Jill Wells Heath,” said, Kevin Cain, president and CEO of the John Rex Endowment. “Their financial expertise will be invaluable as we continue to invest in the development and support of activities, programs and organizations that improve the health of children and youth in Wake County.”  
 
Larry Barbour, president and CEO of North State Bank, will continue to serve as treasurer. Virginia Parker, director of strategic partnerships at Wake Tech Foundation, will remain secretary.
 
Steven Lilly, chief financial officer of Triangle Capital Corporation, and Wake County Chief District Court Judge Robert Rader have completed their terms of service on the board of directors for the John Rex Endowment.
